Top Wedding Venues in Trinidad

White and floral wedding table setup at Trinidad wedding venue North Deck

North Deck, in the treetops of Trinidad’s North Coast

If I’m being honest, my dream wedding location is a fabulously manicured backyard at a private home with natural 18 degree Celsius weather, but unfortunately those aren’t easy to come by in a Caribbean island lol.

So instead, I’ve rounded up some of the favourite wedding venues in Trinidad - ranging from hotel banquet halls, ocean views and outdoor spots hidden in the trees of our lush hills. Searching for wedding venues is hard, and I’d love to make this process a bit easier for you.

These locations are all no stranger to weddings and I’ve been lucky enough to photograph, or attend weddings at them. Some of them offer the options of meal & bar services, others you have to organise it all yourself.

Now let’s start with my favourite , in no particular order … outdoor venues!

Veronique’s magical garden - a spot for backyard weddings

  1. Drew Manor, Santa Cruz

This large venue is located in the lush valley of Santa Cruz, meaning it gets cool at night. The grounds allows you to host your ceremony outdoors amongst the trees and then head poolside to dance the night away! My personal favourite, their ladies’ bathroom facilities! It is so well kept and the AC in there is the perfect cool down.

  2. North Deck, Paramin

The views alone will make your jaw drop! If your dream is to get married surrounded by jungle and an epic sea view at sunset, North Deck is for you! This two story venue offers coverage in the event of rain and there are several guest rooms onsite that you can rent for the night - a perfect place to rest after your long day and wake up in the trees!

  3. San Salvador Estate, Gran Couva

A sprawling 200 acre estate in the heart of Gran Couva, San Salvador feels like a retreat. They offer weddings for up to 150 people and also have several cottages on site that make it the perfect weekend retreat. With so many photo spots to choose from, it’s a beautiful choice for nature lovers.

  4. Esperanza Alta, St Anns

Esperanza is a hummingbird paradise! Esperanza, which means ‘hope’ in Spanish, will leave you feeling hopeful about the conservation efforts in Trinidad by its private citizens. It is home dozens of hummingbird species, parrots, lizards and other animals and just a stone’s throw away from Port of Spain. This venue is a prime spot for backyard-inspired weddings where you truly feel at home.

  5. Veronique’s, St Clair

Located just off the Queen’s Park Savannah on Mary Street, this venue is a charming, historic home complete with wooden floors and large garden with Samaan trees. The owner, Veronique herself ensures everything goes smoothly on your day and welcomes you into her home with open arms.

  6. Waterville Estate, Santa Cruz

Another gem hidden in the valley of Santa Cruz, Waterville Estate offers a modern restroom facility, their beautifully appointed Bridal Suite, outdoor entertaining area and lush vegetation. The hillside of the Northern Range mountains makes for an epic backdrop to your ceremony/reception.

  7. U-Pick, Chaguaramas

By day, U-Pick is a restaurant that is frequented on the weekends for brunch by families. It offers fresh produce for sale, some grown right on their compound. However it have recently started hosting weddings. It offers a large, secure parking area and an outdoor area surrounded by bamboo trees. Definitely a great option for those having larger weddings!

  8. Ortinola Great House, Maracas St Joseph

This house dates back to 1890s and was originally a cocoa estate, once leased to the Cadbury Brothers! Now, the Ortinola Estate is privately owned and hosts weddings, events and tours of the Estate. The Great House can hold up to 120 people, but outdoors can accommodate a lot more! A beautifully maintained piece of history that will be a memorable spot for any wedding!

  9. Hilstein Manor, Curepe

This home is advertised as a great place for weddings and events. It has a beautiful backyard for ceremonies and parties, a balcony which makes for a great photo spot and you can also host your wedding reception indoors - making it great for whatever the weather brings!

  10. Mahogany Ridge, Paramin

The views alone will make you consider Mahogany Ridge. It’s a perfect spot for smaller, intimate weddings where guests can enjoy the cool breeze from the mountains while looking out at the panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.

Caster’s Cove, Chaguaramas

  1. Caster’s Cove, Chaguaramas

Here, you have the best of both worlds. This two-story building is located on the waterfront so guests can enjoy breathtaking sunset views from the open-air balcony. The entire hall is air-conditioned, keeping you cool while you dance the night away! My favourite part, the thatched-style ceilings that scream boho, tropical vibe. Check it out for yourself here.

  2. Crews Inn Hotel, Chaguaramas

With different spaces that can hold anywhere from 80-300 people, Crews Inn offers many options for events. The hotel is located in Chaguaramas and also has a marina, coffee shop/restaurant and pool area to kick back and relax.

  5. The Brix Hotel, Port of Spain

This recently opened hotel is the capital’s current hot spot. The rooftop vibes are totally New York and its a gorgeous place for weddings, or even just photos. I recently shot an engagement there and it was so regal and modern. It can hold up to 110 people, so check it out here if it sounds like you!

  6. The Anchorage, Chaguaramas

Another spot located in a calm bay of Chaguaramas, the Anchorage can hold anywhere from 100 up to 3000 people and has both open air and closed options. It’s a space that can be transformed into anything you desire!
